Restwork Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
In short
- There is no account. Your workouts and settings stay on your device.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects device information such as your advertising ID to serve them. Pro removes ads.
- We have no server and receive nothing from the app, unless you email us a problem report yourself.
- Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your payment details.
1. Who we are
Restwork: HIIT Interval Timer (“Restwork”, package dev.zeroglabs.interval) is made by ZeroGLabs (“we”). This policy explains what information the app handles and what this website collects. Questions: zeroglabs.dev@gmail.com.
2. What the app stores on your device
- Your saved workouts and quick-start values.
- Your settings, such as theme, signals and voice cues.
- Whether you own Pro, and the end time of any 24-hour pass from rewarded ads, with the times you watched them.
- The state of a running workout, so it can continue if the app is closed.
- A small diagnostic log (times, event names and setting values; no workout names or other text you type).
This data stays in the app’s private storage. It is excluded from Android cloud backups and device-to-device transfer, and is deleted when you uninstall the app. We have no server and do not receive it.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The free version of Restwork shows banner ads on the home and finish screens (never during a workout) and optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. Ads are served by Google LLC. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, the AdMob SDK sends the following from your device to Google:
- Your advertising ID (Android advertising ID) and app-scoped identifiers
- Your IP address and an approximate location derived from it
- Ad interactions, such as ad views and taps
- Device and app information, such as device type, operating system, language and app version
- Diagnostics about errors and performance of the ad SDK
We do not receive or store this information ourselves. Google’s use of it is described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and How Google uses cookies in advertising. With Pro, the app shows no ads and does not load them.
4. Rewarded ads
Rewarded ads play only when you tap to watch one. Each completed ad unlocks the flow view, or one extra workout slot, for 24 hours; watching again adds 24 hours, up to 5 ads in any 24 hours. When an extra slot expires, the workout is locked, not deleted, and you can delete it or unlock it again.
5. Ad consent and opting out of personalized ads
In regions that require consent, such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google’s consent form (User Messaging Platform) appears on first launch, and ads are personalized or non-personalized depending on your choice. You can change your choice at any time in Settings › About › Ad privacy choices (shown where consent is required and on the free version).
- Anywhere: delete or reset your advertising ID in Android Settings > Privacy (or Google) > Ads to stop receiving personalized ads.
- Information is transferred to and processed by Google LLC in the United States to provide ads, and kept according to Google’s policies.
6. Purchases
Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Google Play. Restwork talks to the Google Play Store app on your device to start a purchase and to check whether you own Pro, then stores that result on your phone. We do not receive your payment details. Google’s handling of purchases is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
7. Problem reports
If you tap Settings › Report a problem, the app opens your own email app with a message to us. It contains the app version, your Android version and device model, and the diagnostic log described above. Nothing is sent unless you send that email yourself. We use it only to answer you and fix problems, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
8. Permissions
- Notifications: to show the running timer and the time left, including on the lock screen.
- Foreground service: to keep the timer and its cues running with the screen off.
- Vibration: for vibration cues.
- Wake lock: to keep cues on time while the phone sleeps.
- Internet and network state: to load ads and the consent form.
- Advertising ID (and Android’s ad services): used by Google AdMob for ads.
- Google Play billing: to buy and restore Pro.
The app does not use your location, camera, microphone, contacts or health data.
9. Children
Restwork is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. This website
This website (zeroglabs.dev) is separate from the app. It uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit and which pages they read. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), your device and browser type, and your language. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses.
- Ad personalization and Google signals are turned off for this site.
- For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, analytics cookies are off by default. Google may still receive cookieless measurement requests.
- Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.
- You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
- Learn more: How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the service. The website does not show ads.
11. Your choices
You can change your ad consent in the app, reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings, remove ads with Pro, and delete all app data by uninstalling. If you sent us a problem report and want it deleted, email us.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
